Benga
Benga is a British Dubstep producer from Croydon, South London. He is notably one of the original dubstep producers, and is known for porducing alongside Skream. Benga and Skream currently work alongside Artwork under the name ‘Magnetic Man’. Artwork is an old skool producer, and is famous for producing tracks such as daniel bedingfileds ‘I Gotta Get Through This’. He also mentored Benga in his early days of producing Dubstep.
Benga has had releases out on Tempa and Big Apple Records, and currently plays on Radio 1 with Skream.
Benga is commercially known for his track alongside Coki, entitled ‘Night’. This track got plays all of the world, on every dance floor, and was seen as the first Dubstep track to make it into the commercial market.
Benga was making tracks at the age of 14, and was fuelling DJ Hatcha’s record bag, which he in turn played at Forward events. This pushed the Dubstep scene out of Garage and into a genre of it’s own. In doing this, Benga got acclaim for his support to the Dubstep scene and has, and always will be in the ‘Hall Of Fame’ (if there was one).
