Audio Spektics – Blow My Mind EP – FILTH003

  • Tracklist:
  • Blow My Mind
  • I Never Really Knew
  • Ground Zero
  • Poltergeist

In 2010, Audio Spektics took the dubstep scene by storm with their debut EP – Sub Tripping. Hitting the top 20 on the Beatport dubstep chart, they imprinted their sound in the ears of thousands, and they are back to do it again. Their second, four track EP out on FILTH Sarah-Jane Bjørtomt, who also featured on ‘Sub Trippin’, blows the sound spectrum up on ‘Blow My Mind’ with her piercing vocals layered over Audio Spektics drill like bass sounds. ‘I Never Really Knew’ pulls on aggressive, fierce sounding bass. A hard and bouncy track, with delicate vocals that build up to deliver a hard and unexpected drop, like finding out something you never really knew. ‘Ground Zero’ takes the pace up, with a drum step beat and jump up bass noises, Audio Spektics are sure to catch you off guard. The track builds on the drum step formula, using unique rolling wobble baselines and strong, melodic synthesis, Ground Zero will tear any dance floor into a battleground. ‘Poltergeist’ takes robotic dubstep to another level, with slow moving, mechanical sounds building up to fast paced, chest pounding wobble basses.
